Nokhook House

Air conditioning is shared by all the rooms at Nokhook House, which range from a 25 m² dormitory with four bunk beds and a balcony or terrace to 15 m² rooms with a double bed or two single beds. A second 15 m² dormitory has two bunk beds.

Guests in the dormitories share the bathroom, and the room with two single beds has a private bathroom. Several rooms have a seating area, satellite or cable channels and free bottled water, and lockers and a clothes rack are provided in some rooms. Bunk beds appear in both dormitories, and the rooms with a double bed or single beds come with a shower.

The 24-hour front desk, room service and a coffee shop cover the basics, and there is a shared kitchen for guests. Tours, car hire and ticket services can be arranged, a concierge is available, and an airport transfer is offered.

Laundry is covered by a laundry service, a laundromat, dry cleaning and ironing. Luggage storage and lockers are available, and daily housekeeping is provided. The grounds include a garden, and the shared lounge with a TV area gives guests a place to relax. There is on-site parking, with bicycle parking as well. A taxi service and ticket services are also offered, and the concierge desk is open to guests who need help with plans for the day.

Nokhook House sits in central Trang, a provincial town in southern Thailand that is quieter than the beach resorts further south. It is a practical base for travellers who want to stay in town rather than by the sea, with public parks, the clock tower and the railway station all close at hand. Life in the town centre runs at an easy pace, with local shops and street life rather than resort crowds.

The Dugong Circle is 300 m from the hotel and the Trang Clock Tower is 700 m away, both nearby landmarks in the middle of town. Trang Municipal Park, the Trang Railway Station and the town's night market are a short distance further, and the railway station is useful for travellers arriving by train. Trang Airport is 5.7 km away, and the property offers a free airport transfer.

A good day starts with a walk through the town to the Dugong Circle and the clock tower, then a stroll through Trang Municipal Park before the evening market. Trips to the islands off the Trang coast leave from the piers on the coast, so they need a day of their own. In the rainy months the sea can be rough and some boats may not run.
