Matou Hostel and Cafe

Matou Hostel and Cafe offers double rooms with a king bed and dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds. The double rooms measure 17 m² and sleep up to two guests. The mixed dormitory room has two bunk beds for up to two guests.

Within a few hundred metres are temples, including Keng Chio Hoi Kuan and San Chao Pu, and the Hokkien Gong Kuan.

Kantang Station is 600 m away, and Trang Airport is 16.1 km from the hostel, so most arrivals by air can use the airport transfer. The Phraya Ratsadanupradit Mahitsaraphakdi Museum is 750 m away, and Kuan Daeng Hot Springs lie 5.1 km away. Krabi International Airport is 96 km away.

A good day could start at the temples and the Hokkien church near the hostel, then continue to the museum in the town before heading out to the hot springs. The port makes the area a useful stop for onward travel to the islands. Guests who want to cook can buy ingredients at the market and use the shared kitchen to prepare a Thai meal, and evenings at the bar are a relaxed option, with a pool table for friendly games.
