Ratchathewi BTS Station is 600 m from the hostel, the Skytrain stop that links the area with the rest of central Bangkok. Jim Thompson House, a museum in a compound of traditional Thai teak houses, is 450 m away, and the Ban Krua community, known for its silk weaving, is also close. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street with bars and guesthouses, is 3.2 km away.

A day could begin at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha beside it, 3.8 km away, and continue to Wat Arun on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya. Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large market for clothing, food and crafts, is a separate outing, as it is best known as a weekend market. Don Mueang International Airport is 19.7 km from the hostel, so allow time for the trip if you are flying in or out.
