Yor Yak Hostel

Accommodation at Yor Yak Hostel is in dormitory rooms and capsules, with sleeping places for one to three guests depending on the room. Some rooms are female-only and others are mixed, and the capsules come as single or double capsules.

Where a size is given, rooms measure 24 or 30 m². Beds range from a single bed and a queen bed to double beds and female capsule beds, and air conditioning is provided in several rooms. Several rooms share a bathroom with other guests.

Yor Yak Hostel sits on Krung Thonburi Road in Thonburi, the district on the west bank of the Chao Phraya river, facing the old city of Bangkok across the water. The area mixes temples, riverside piers and local streets, and it gives travellers a base on the river side of the city.

The nearest transport is Wongwian Yai BTS station, 600 m away, which links to the skytrain network for the rest of the city. Taksin Pier, 1.7 km away, is a ferry terminal for crossing the Chao Phraya river, and Wat Arun stands on the Thonburi bank a little further along, 2.7 km away, with its tall spire rising above the water. Asiatique The Riverfront is a riverside shopping and dining complex, and Khaosan Road, a busy street of guesthouses and street-food stalls, is further away across the river. Between these landmarks the streets are lined with temples, piers and local businesses, and the Chao Phraya river runs along the edge of the district.

A good day could start with the Grand Palace, 3.3 km away on the old city side of the river, then move on to Wat Pho and Wat Arun before a riverside evening at Asiatique The Riverfront.
