Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre on Rama I Road, is 2.3 km away, and Jim Thompson House, a teak-built museum of Thai silk, is a short trip from there, and the Chao Phraya river runs close to the older parts of the city. Benchakitti Forest Park, 600 m from the inn, offers a green break from the traffic. The Grand Palace is 6.9 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 21.9 km away.

Jim Thompson House and Siam Paragon make a good pairing for an afternoon, and the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the Chao Phraya river, fill a longer day. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest weekend markets in the city, works better as a separate morning out.
