White House Hostel

White House Hostel has room types from an 8 m² private room with two bunk beds for up to four guests to a 15 m² family room with a bunk bed and a king bed. Most of the room types have a shared bathroom, and the beds include double, queen, single, bunk and king beds.

Some rooms overlook the city, and a few have air conditioning, blackout curtains or a balcony. Several rooms also provide towels, toiletries and a hair dryer.

Guests can use a shared kitchen, a shared lounge with a TV area, and a terrace. The lounge and kitchen are both shared areas, so guests use them together. Air conditioning covers the public areas, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms as well as in the public areas.

Laundry service, dry cleaning and ironing are offered, daily housekeeping is provided and luggage storage is available. Luggage storage lets guests leave their bags safely while they explore the city. There is also a taxi service for getting around the city.

The property has 24-hour security and CCTV in common areas. It is a smoke-free property with non-smoking rooms, and family rooms are among the room types.

White House Hostel is in Pratunam, a busy commercial district in the Ratchathewi area of central Bangkok, where shops, wholesale stalls and office towers sit close together. Pratunam is also known for its wholesale clothing shops, and the streets around the hostel are lined with shopping centres and food stalls. The hostel sits in the middle of the city rather than on its outskirts.

Pratunam Market is 200 m away and Siam Paragon, the large shopping centre, is 850 m away. Nearby are Baiyoke II Tower, with its observation deck above the city, and Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum set among gardens. Wat Pathum Wanaram, a temple with its own museum, is also within walking distance. Ratchaprarop station on the Airport Rail Link is 350 m away, and Don Mueang Airport is a longer journey.

A day could start with a walk around Pratunam Market and a visit to Wat Pathum Wanaram, followed by Jim Thompson House, and end with the view from Baiyoke II Tower. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, across the river, are a longer journey, and Chatuchak Weekend Market, 5.2 km away, is open on weekends, when its stalls fill the whole site and the crowds are at their largest.
