Vive Silom

The rooms at Vive Silom measure between 10 and 22 m² and all sleep at least two guests. Three of them have a King bed, one has a bunk bed, and the quadruple room sleeps up to four guests with a city view.

Air conditioning is fitted in the quadruple room and the Double Economy, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The quadruple room also has a city view, and guests in it share a bathroom.

Vive Silom has an elevator, lockers, luggage storage and safety deposit boxes for valuables, and its front desk is open 24 hours. Daily housekeeping and a concierge are part of the service, and English and Thai are spoken.

Tours and ticket services are available, and the hostel has a bar, a coffee shop and restaurants on site. Free parking is on site, and free Wi-Fi covers all rooms and public areas. Luggage storage also covers bags left after check-out. Guests who smoke have a designated smoking area.

Vive Silom is on Silom Road in Bangkok's Bangrak district, a busy business area of office towers, hotels and street stalls that stays lively well into the evening. Daytime offices give way to bars and nightlife after dark, and the hostel is close to those bars rather than on a quiet residential street.

Sala Daeng BTS Station is 100 m away, and Si Lom MRT Station is also a short walk, so the train is the simplest link to the rest of the city. Patpong Night Market, with its stalls and street food, is 350 m away, and Little Japan and Dusit Arun Garden are both within a short walk. The Thai Red Cross Museum, which covers the history of the Thai Red Cross, is a quieter stop nearby.

A day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, both 5.2 km away, with Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya riverbank. Back in Silom, the evening can be spent at Silom Soi 2, with its bars and nightclubs, and Patpong Night Market is a short walk away. For a longer trip, Chatuchak Weekend Market is 8 km away and is best visited at the weekend, when its stalls are fully open.
