Villa Marella, Koh Samui's Designer Villa

Villa Marella, Koh Samui's Designer Villa is offered as one private house of 400 m², with six bedrooms, six bathrooms, air conditioning and a private entrance. It sleeps up to twelve guests, and the bedrooms have a choice of bed set-ups.

The villa includes a private pool, a hot tub, a gym and a home cinema, so most of a stay can be spent in the house itself. The game room has a pool table, board games and a game console.

Free parking is available, and the villa has a hot tub, a gym, an elevator, a garden or backyard, and a balcony or terrace. Inside, guests have air conditioning, a sound system, video streaming services, cable channels, a game console and board games.

The kitchen comes with basics such as cookware, oils and condiments, and there is a BBQ grill, coffee or tea, and a desk or workspace. Internet access is available, and a portable WiFi rental is available as well.

For guests with young children, a crib or baby cot and a high chair are available, and a laundromat is nearby for guests who need to do their washing.

Villa Marella is in Choeng Mon, a quiet area of Koh Samui on the Bophut side of the island, with Choeng Mon Beach, a sandy bay, 450 m away. The area is calmer than the busier beaches around Chaweng and Lamai, and the villa is within a short walk of the sand. The villa is a private house, so its grounds, pool and hot tub are used by the group staying there.

Wat Plai Laem, a temple with a large Guanyin statue, is 1.3 km away, and the Big Buddha, a hilltop statue, is 1.9 km away. Fisherman's Village in Bophut, 5.4 km away, is a walking street of cafés and shops. Samui Airport is 3.6 km away, and the island is reached by air or by ferry from the mainland, since there is no bridge.

A day could start at the Big Buddha and continue to Fisherman's Village for a walk along the walking street. Hiring a car or scooter is the usual way to reach the other sights, which are spread across the island. The livelier beaches of Chaweng and Lamai are further along the coast, so a day out to them takes longer than a trip to the sand here, and the evening can be spent on the Bophut walking street.
