Big Buddha, 3.8 km away, is a large seated Buddha statue and temple, while Na Muang Waterfall lies further inland on the island, away from the beach strip.

A day out could combine Big Buddha with Fisherman's Village in Bophut, and the Samui Elephant Sanctuary in the same area makes a good addition for a second visit. The Na Muang Waterfall suits a separate trip into the island's interior. Evenings are best spent around the Night Market and the bars and restaurants of the beach strip.
