V Reserve at Merry V

Air conditioning and a private entrance come with every room at V Reserve at Merry V, and each room has its own private bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer, toiletries and towels. Each room also has a desk and a fan.

The double and twin rooms each measure 36 m² and sleep two guests. The double has a queen bed, and the twin has two single beds. The triple room measures 40 m² and sleeps three, with three single beds, and the single room measures 20 m² with one single bed, for one guest. Between them the rooms cover solo stays, couples and small groups of three.

Khaosan Road, known as a backpacker street, lies close by, with its guesthouses, street-food stalls and bars. The area mixes old temples with lively evenings. Walking the streets around the hotel shows the older side of the city, with shophouses and riverside lanes.

The Grand Palace is 1.4 km away, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), which sits within the palace grounds, is 1.2 km from the hotel. Across the Chao Phraya, Wat Arun is 2.1 km away, and its steep tiered spire is one of the city's best-known sights. Further afield, the Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum set in a garden, and the huge Chatuchak Weekend Market are worth a day out.

Don Mueang International Airport is 20.6 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport lies further out. The Phra Arthit ferry pier is 200 m away for river crossings. A good day from here starts at the temples around the Grand Palace, continues by ferry across the river to Wat Arun, and ends back on Khaosan Road in the evening.
