Uncle Loy's Boutique House

The rooms measure 14 to 22 m² and each one sleeps up to three guests. All of them have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, toiletries, towels, a hair dryer, cleaning products and a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels.

Two of the rooms have a balcony. Free Wi-Fi covers the rooms and the public areas, so guests can stay connected from wherever they settle.

Uncle Loy's Boutique House stands on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, in the Siriraj area of Bangkok Noi, where the riverside is a mix of piers, old temples and hospital buildings. The lanes around the guesthouse are narrow and open onto the water, and the neighbourhood suits anyone who wants to see Bangkok's river life up close.

Wat Arun, the temple of the dawn, is 1.2 km away. Wat Rakhang Kositaram Woramahawihan, a riverside temple, is 200 m from the door. The Siriraj Medical Museum, housed within the hospital grounds, shows the history of medicine in Thailand. Wang Lang Pier is next to the guesthouse, and its ferry crosses the river to the east bank, so the other side of the city is never far to reach by boat. Thonburi Station is 950 m away for local trains, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 29.6 km away.

A day here can combine the temples on this bank with a ferry crossing to the east bank, where the Grand Palace and Wat Pho stand. For a market visit, the Tha Phra Chan market is a short walk from the piers, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, at 8.6 km, is a longer trip across the city.
