Udee Bangkok Hostel

All rooms at Udee Bangkok Hostel have free Wi-Fi. They range from a 10 m² single room with a shower to 12 m² rooms with a queen bed or with two single beds.

Some rooms have a private bathroom, while one twin room has a shared bathroom. One room sleeps up to three guests, the single room takes one guest, and the twin and double rooms sleep two.

Udee Bangkok Hostel has a garden and a terrace, a shared lounge and TV area, and a shared kitchen for guests. Luggage storage and a laundry service are available, Xerox and fax are available at the business centre, and air conditioning covers the public areas as well.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and it also reaches the public areas. Non-smoking rooms are offered, and there is a separate smoking area for guests who smoke. Guests share the lounge, the kitchen and the outdoor spaces with the other guests of the hostel.

Udee Bangkok Hostel is on Pradiphat Road in the Chatuchak district of Bangkok, close to a skytrain station and to one of the city's best-known markets. Staying here puts the markets and museums close by, while the old city is a longer trip by skytrain and road.

The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 800 m from the hostel, is open on weekends and sells everything from clothes and plants to food and crafts. Or Tor Kor Market, a fresh-produce market, is also in the area, and the Philatelic Museum, a small museum of stamps, is a short walk away. Saphan Khwai BTS Station, 450 m from the hostel, links the area to central Bangkok by skytrain, so the rest of the city is easy to reach from there.

Jim Thompson House, 5.2 km away, is a teak house museum that belonged to the American entrepreneur who revived the Thai silk industry. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the Chao Phraya river, lie in the old city, and a visit there is best planned as a separate day rather than a stop between the markets. Going back to the hostel in the evening is simple, since the skytrain station is a short walk from the hostel's front door.
