The streets around it are lined with guesthouses, cafés and street-food stalls, and the temples and palaces of the historic quarter are close by. The palace area is within easy walking distance of the guesthouse, so most of the sights in this part of the old city can be reached on foot.
The Grand Palace is 950 m away, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, is in the same complex. Wat Pho, officially Wat Phra Chetuphon, is nearby and known for its giant reclining Buddha, while Wat Arun, on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya, is 1.6 km away.
