Trains from Ban Thap Chang are a practical way to reach the airport for a flight. Mai Hua Takhe Market is 2.8 km away, Hua Mak Health Park is nearby, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 7.8 km away.

For a day out, Chatuchak Weekend Market is 18 km away, one of the best-known weekend markets in Bangkok. The Grand Palace is further into the old city at 23.1 km, a longer trip that is best planned around the rail and river connections you choose, and the old city has temples and palaces close together.
