Si Phraya Pier is 200 m away, and river boats from it reach other piers along the Chao Phraya. Hua Lamphong MRT station is 700 m away and gives access to the metro, while Khlong San BTS station connects to the skytrain nearby. Wat Maha Phruettharam Worawihan, a temple, is 300 m away, and the Grand Palace, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is 3.2 km away.

A day here can begin in the lanes of Talat Noi, with the old market and the Talad Noi Museum close by, then head to Yaowarat Road for Bangkok's Chinatown and its lively streets with food stalls. The Yaowarat Chinatown Heritage Center covers the history of the district. Return to the river and take a boat from Si Phraya Pier to see the riverside from the water.
