THE HOG

The rooms at THE HOG are designed for two guests, each with a queen bed, and both overlook the garden. Air conditioning is in every room, and each has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, toiletries and towels.

The rooms also have a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle and a hair dryer. Outside the rooms, the garden and the terrace are shared spaces, and there is a shared lounge with a TV area where guests can gather.

THE HOG is in Thonburi, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, in the Bangkok Riverside area. The streets around Soi Watkanlaya have many temples, and the river is the most practical way to move around this part of the city. River ferry piers are within a few hundred metres, so a boat trip across to the old city of Phra Nakhon is a practical way to reach the other side.

Nearby sights include Wat Prayurawongsawat, a temple with a pagoda, 300 m away, and Kian Un Keng Shrine, a Chinese shrine, 250 m away. Wat Buppharam, another historic temple, is also close by. The Flower Market at Pak Khlong Talat, a busy wholesale market, is 600 m away, and the Museum of Siam, which covers Thai history and culture, is 700 m away.

A good day could begin with the temples near the property and a short walk to the river piers, then a boat across the river to the Museum of Siam and the flower market. Most of the sights in this area are within a short walk of the property, so exploring on foot is practical, and taxis can cover longer trips across the city. The boat piers at Wat Kanlayanamit Pier and Yodpiman are the closest stops for crossing the river.
