The Cavalli Casa Resort

The rooms at The Cavalli Casa Resort include suite, twin and double rooms, each sleeping up to three guests. Rooms can have a private bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer, toiletries and towels, together with an electric kettle and a desk. The views are city, country or garden, depending on the room.

The Suite Room measures 40 m² and has a whirlpool bathtub with a city view. Several twin and double rooms measure 35 m², and the resort has a family room. Room service is available from the resort. Bathrobes are provided in several of the rooms, and some have a whirlpool bathtub.

Ban Ko is a district of Ayutthaya, the former capital of the Siamese kingdom, where the ruins of the old city date mostly from the fourteenth to the eighteenth centuries. The Cavalli Casa Resort is set in this part of town, a few kilometres from the Historic City of Ayutthaya. That makes it a practical base for travellers who want to see the ancient sites and then return to a resort with swimming pools and a restaurant. The old city has long been a focus of Thai history and is a popular day trip from Bangkok.

Banma train station is 550 m away, and the Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village is 2.7 km away, combining a floating market with an elephant village. Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha head entwined in tree roots, lies about 4 km away, and the Chantharakasem National Museum, 2.8 km away, shows the region's art and history.

A full day could begin at the Wat Mahathat ruins, continue to Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the former royal temple inside the palace grounds, and end at the national museum. Tuk-tuks and bicycles are the usual ways to cover the historic park, and a taxi service is available from the resort. The Monument of Loyalty and Pradu Songtham Temple are also nearby.
