Baan Thai House

Baan Thai House has villas with garden and lake views, along with a Quadruple Room. The Garden Villa and the Deluxe Villa each measure 24 m² and sleep up to three guests, and both offer a choice of bed set-ups. The Thai Villa measures 18 m² and has a king bed for two guests. The Villa with Garden View measures 24 m², and the Quadruple Room sleeps up to five guests.

Each of the three villas has a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, a hair dryer, towels and toiletries. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and air conditioning and a bathtub are in the Thai Villa.

The town is calmer than Bangkok, and most of its sights are spread across the historic park and the streets around it.

Nearby, the Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village is close by, and Ayutthaya Train Station is 550 m away on the main rail line from Bangkok. The temples are the main draw. Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha head entwined in tree roots, is 2.2 km away, and Wat Phanan Choeng, which holds a large seated Buddha beside the river, is 1.8 km away. Bicycles are a practical way to cover the sites, and tours can be arranged through the hotel.

A good day starts early at Wat Mahathat and the temples of the historic park, then continues to the floating market. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the royal temple within the old palace grounds, lies a little further out, as does Wat Chaiwatthanaram, with its Khmer-style towers on the river. Don Mueang International Airport is 49.5 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 76.3 km away, both reached by road.
