The BOB Hostel

The rooms at The BOB Hostel measure between 25 and 40 m² and range from dormitory-style beds to private rooms. The dormitory-style rooms share a bathroom with other guests. Rooms with a private bathroom include the 30 m² room with two king beds and the 40 m² room with a bathtub.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Beds range from single and double beds to king and queen beds, and several rooms include an electric kettle, a hair dryer and toiletries, so the choice runs from solo travellers in a single bed to groups who book a room for several guests.

Guests can use luggage storage and lockers, and safety deposit boxes are available for valuables. Daily housekeeping and a laundry service are offered, with a laundromat on the premises. Express and private check-in and check-out are both available, and 24-hour security is provided.

The shared lounge/TV area and the terrace are the common spaces, and air conditioning covers the public areas. Wi-Fi reaches the public areas as well as the rooms, and internet services are available too. Parking is available nearby, and bicycle parking is also on site. A convenience store and a salon are also part of the hostel's facilities, so basic errands can be done on site without leaving the property.

The hostel is on a side street off Sukhumvit Road, one of Bangkok's main roads, in the Sukhumvit area of the city. Within a few hundred metres are Donki Mall and the Thonglor Art Village, with its galleries and the Thong Lor Art Space, and the Soi 38 Nightmarket is a short distance away. The streets around it are lined with small restaurants and shops, and the Sukhumvit area is one of Bangkok's best-known districts for dining and nightlife, so the hostel sits in the middle of that energy.

Thong Lo BTS Station is 1.1 km away, and the Skytrain on the Sukhumvit line runs from there to the shopping districts around Siam. Siam Paragon is 5.9 km from the hostel, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's best-known markets, is 8.7 km away. Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is 18.2 km away, and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) is 20.4 km.

A good day could begin at the Thonglor galleries, continue by BTS to Siam Paragon for shopping and lunch, and end at the Soi 38 Nightmarket. The old city and its temples are a longer trip from here, so it is worth setting aside a separate day for them.
