Thai Cat Hostel

Thai Cat Hostel's rooms include a female dormitory room, mixed dormitory rooms, a room assigned on arrival and several family rooms of 30 m² that sleep up to 12 guests. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and several of the rooms have a city view.

The family rooms sleep up to 12 guests on bunk beds: six bunk beds in the Family Room and Family Room 3, and twelve in Family Room 2. The Bunk Bed in Mixed Dormitory room sleeps one guest, while the female and mixed dormitory rooms and the room assigned on arrival sleep up to three guests each. The Family Room, Family Room 2 and the Bunk Bed in Mixed Dormitory room also have air conditioning, and the first two have a private bathroom.

Thai Cat Hostel has a shared lounge/TV area with couches, an elevator, a coffee shop and restaurants. Asian breakfast and buffet breakfast are offered. Parking on site is free, and there is Wi-Fi in the public areas as well as in all rooms.

Guests can use lockers, luggage storage and express check-in and check-out. Tours and ticket services are offered, along with daily housekeeping, laundry service and dry cleaning. The front desk is open 24 hours, and English, Korean and Thai are spoken.

The shared lounge has a large flat-screen TV with international channels and a set of couches, and it is a place where guests can meet other travellers.

Thai Cat Hostel is on Ratchaprarop Road in the Pratunam area of Bangkok, a lively stretch of the Ratchathewi district. The streets nearby are full of wholesale clothing shops, tailors and food stalls, so the area is busy through the day and the atmosphere is commercial rather than quiet. It is a practical base for travellers who want to be close to the transport network and to the big shopping streets of the city.

The Airport Rail Link station at Ratchaprarop is 100 m away, and the line runs to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Makkasan Train Station, another rail stop in the area, is also close by. Nearby, Baiyoke II Tower rises above the district and has an observation deck over the city, while Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall, is close by as well.

A good day could start at Pratunam Market, 250 m away, then continue to Jim Thompson House, a complex of traditional Thai teak houses with a collection of Thai silk and art. In the afternoon, the Grand Palace complex, 5.5 km away, holds the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, while the Chatuchak Weekend Market, 5 km away, is best visited at the weekend, when it is at its busiest.
