Summer Club and Hostel Ao Nang offers dormitory rooms from 32 to 60 m², most with bunk beds and a few with single beds, along with basic rooms that have six bunk beds each. It draws travellers who come for the beaches and for boat trips to the islands and limestone bays nearby. Longtail boats and ferry piers line the shore, and the island trips leave from those piers. The seafront is lined with restaurants, and the hostel itself has a bar and a nightclub.

Ao Nang Beach is 1.4 km from the hostel. Railay Beach, across the bay, is best reached by boat, and its limestone cliffs and beaches are among the best-known sights of the area. Poda Island lies offshore and is also reached by boat. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 13.9 km away, is a hillside temple complex reached by climbing its hill. The Krabi Weekend Night Market also has food stalls and local goods.

A typical day could start with a boat trip to Railay for the cliffs and beaches, then return to Ao Nang for dinner among the street-food stalls and massage shops, which stay in use into the evening. Krabi International Airport is 17.6 km away, and Phuket International Airport is 58.6 km away.
