The rooms at Studio Sukhumvit 18 by iCheck inn are studios and suites, and several of them have a city view. Side streets, known as sois, branch off it, and several embassies and consulates sit on the lanes close to the property. The area mixes offices, apartments and a number of Muay Thai gyms.

Benjakitti Park is 450 m from the property, a large urban park with a lake that offers some green space in this busy district, and it is a good place to walk before heading into the busier streets. Asok BTS Station is 750 m away and Phrom Phong BTS Station is 800 m away, both on the Sukhumvit line, so the Siam area is easy to reach by Skytrain. Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum of the Thai silk entrepreneur, is 4.3 km away.

A good day out starts with the BTS to Siam, for Siam Paragon and the Jim Thompson House. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, which opens on weekends and covers thousands of stalls, works better as a separate morning. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun make a separate day in the old city, reached by a longer trip from the hotel.
