Stay Strays Hostel

Stay Strays Hostel offers single and double rooms, two suites and a vacation home for up to ten guests, so solo travellers, couples and larger groups can all find a room. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and several of them have a shower, an electric kettle and a hair dryer.

The family suite sleeps up to five guests and the two-bedroom suite up to four, and both measure 42 m² with a choice of bed set-ups. The vacation home covers 189 m² and also has a choice of bed set-ups for up to ten guests.

Shared spaces include a garden and a terrace, a game room, a shared lounge with a TV area and a karaoke facility, which make the hostel a sociable place to spend time between excursions. Guests can also join a pub crawl, and tours can be arranged.

The hostel offers an airport transfer and a shuttle service, and a family room is available. Guests can use the shared kitchen, food delivery is offered, and internet services are available in the public areas.

Laundry service and dry cleaning are offered, along with safety deposit boxes, express check-in and check-out, daily housekeeping and a convenience store on site. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and in the public areas, and pets are allowed.

Stay Strays Hostel sits in Sathorn, a district on the east side of the Chao Phraya River where office towers, residential lanes and older temples and churches sit side by side. The hostel is a practical starting point for exploring both the riverside and the older parts of the city, and the riverside streets are close by.

Surasak BTS Station is 400 m away and Saphan Taksin BTS Station is also nearby, so the skytrain connects the hostel to the rest of the city, including the big shopping centres such as Siam Paragon and MBK Center. Boats from Sathorn Pier reach the old city across the river, where Wat Pho (Wat Phra Chetuphon), the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) and the Grand Palace are the best known sights. Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining area, is 2.3 km away and is a pleasant place to spend an evening by the water.

A day could start at the temples of the old city and end with a walk around Asiatique. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street 5.5 km away, has bars and street food in the evening, and Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum of Thai silk, is also worth a visit. The neighbourhood gives a good sense of everyday Bangkok between the temples and the skytrain stations.
