Station8 Hostel

Station8 Hostel offers dormitory rooms of 40 m² with bunk beds and a family room of 28 m² with four bunk beds. The rooms come with hair dryers, towels, toiletries, electric kettles and reading lights, and showers are part of the dormitory and family rooms.

Some rooms have a private bathroom and others a shared one, so the bathroom depends on the room you book. A room assigned on arrival is also available for up to three guests.

At Station8 Hostel the shared facilities centre on a games room with a pool table and foosball, a shared lounge with a TV, and a terrace. Guests can store luggage, use lockers, and check in and out through the express service, while private check-in and check-out are also available.

A convenience store is on site for snacks and drinks, and a shuttle service is offered. On-site parking is available, and free Wi-Fi covers all rooms and the public areas. Rooms can include a kitchenette, a microwave, a refrigerator, an electric kettle and an in-room safe box, and the public areas have air conditioning. Streaming services such as Netflix are also offered.

Station8 Hostel stands in Khlong San on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya river, facing the old city across the water. Thonburi is a district of temples and canals on the western bank, and the streets around the hostel mix homes, temple grounds and local shops, a different atmosphere from the tourist streets on the opposite bank.

Wat Arun, the riverside temple with its tall prang, is 2.7 km away, and the Grand Palace is 3.3 km away on the other bank. The Wongwian Yai BTS station, 650 m from the hostel, is the Skytrain stop on the Thonburi side, with trains heading east towards the Silom and Siam districts, where the shopping malls and offices of central Bangkok are concentrated. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street with its bars and street food, is 4.3 km away.

A day could start at Wat Arun, continue by boat to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and end on Khaosan Road in the evening. The Taksin Pier ferry landing, 1.7 km away, is the practical point for the river crossings, and the evening markets at Asiatique, on the riverside, make a good end to the day, after an afternoon spent between the temple courtyards and the riverside piers.
