Stash Hostel

Stash Hostel has rooms ranging from dormitory beds in mixed dormitory rooms to private rooms with a bathroom of their own, including a family room and a room with two double beds. Several of the rooms have a kitchenette with kitchenware, and the hostel has a garden and a shared lounge/TV area on site.

Some rooms have a private bathroom and others share a bathroom with other guests, so the choice depends on how much privacy you want. Guests who prefer a bed in a shared dormitory can book one of the mixed rooms, while those who want a room of their own can choose the family room or a room with two double beds. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Stash Hostel has restaurants and a coffee shop on site, and a buffet breakfast is available. Guests can also use a shared kitchen, BBQ facilities and a fruit and snack service, while the shared lounge/TV area and the on-site entertainment give guests a place to meet.

Stash Hostel sits in the Samphanthawong district, in the Chinatown area of Bangkok, where Yaowarat Road runs past shophouses, temples and food stalls. The area is busy and lively, with food stalls and shophouses lining the narrow streets, and the lanes fill up in the evening with people eating at the stalls along the road.

The Wat Mangkon MRT station is 300 m away and Hua Lamphong Railway Station is 850 m away, so trains and the metro are close. Hua Lamphong is the main railway hub of Bangkok. Wat Traimit, home of a solid gold Buddha image, is also nearby, as are the Samphanthawong Museum and the Chinese food market on Yaowarat Road. Sawatdi Pier, on the Chao Phraya river, is 400 m away, so the river ferries are a short walk from the streets around the hostel.

A day could start at the Grand Palace, 2.2 km away, and the nearby Wat Pho, the temple with the reclining Buddha. In the afternoon, cross the river to Asiatique The Riverfront, the old warehouses turned into a shopping and dining complex, and in the evening head to Khaosan Road, 2.5 km away, the backpacker street with its bars, street food and night-time buzz.
