The Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the main draw of the area, and many visitors spend a full day among its ruins.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram, 1.6 km away, is one of the best-known ruins of the historic park, with a tall Khmer-style prang on the Chao Phraya riverbank. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, a royal temple with three chedi, is 1.7 km away. The Ayutthaya Train Station is 3.4 km from the property, while Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) lies 47.8 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) 75.4 km away.

A good day here starts with the Wat Mahathat ruins, where a Buddha head sits among tree roots, and continues through the temples of the historic park, which also holds the remains of the old royal palace.
