Sleepbox Sukhumvit 22

The rooms at Sleepbox Sukhumvit 22 range from a double room with a private bathroom to bunk-bed rooms for three or four guests. Several of them overlook the city, and the private bathrooms come with a shower, toiletries and towels.

Several rooms measure 24 m², and the bunk-bed rooms include blackout curtains and reading lights. The bunk-bed rooms sleep up to four guests each, so small groups travelling together can book a single room. Air conditioning and soundproofing are fitted in some of the rooms, depending on the room. Some of the private bathrooms come with a hair dryer, and several rooms also include free bottled water.

Sukhumvit 22 is a side street off the main Sukhumvit Road, in a district of Bangkok where hotels, offices and residential buildings sit side by side. Staying on the soi gives you a base for reaching the rest of the city by train, while keeping you off the busiest traffic of the main road. Sukhumvit is one of Bangkok's best-known districts for hotels and dining, and the soi offers a quieter base than the main road.

The Phrom Phong BTS station is 750 m away, and the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre MRT station is 500 m away, so both rail stops are within a short walk. Benjakitti Park is 700 m from the hotel, a large green space with paths and a lake that is a good place for a morning walk. Benchasiri Park is also close by, and PAWYARD at EMSPHERE, a garden space near the EmSphere shopping complex, is nearby as well. The Yunomori hot spring complex with its Japanese-style baths is also in the area.

For a day of sightseeing, the Grand Palace is 8.3 km away, and Wat Arun and Chatuchak Weekend Market are at a similar distance, so a day of temples and markets is a practical plan. Siam Paragon, the large shopping centre, is closer and makes a good stop before or after a visit to the old city. Those with more time can also visit the Jim Thompson House, a museum of Thai silk and art, which lies a little further out.
