Silom SPACE Hostel

Silom SPACE Hostel has dormitory rooms with bunk beds, some of them female-only and others mixed. Alongside them are a triple room with a private bathroom, a single bed and a double bed, and a standard room with bunks and a shared bath, so both shared sleeping and a private bathroom are available.

Several rooms have air conditioning, blackout curtains, a fan and linens, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Shared bathrooms come with showers, toiletries and towels. The triple room measures 13 m² and has a mirror, a telephone and satellite or cable channels. Each dormitory room measures 17 m², and several of them have bunk beds with air conditioning.

The shared spaces include a lounge and TV area, a game room and a shared kitchen, with food delivery available. The public areas are air-conditioned, and an elevator serves the building.

The hostel offers daily housekeeping, a laundry service, luggage storage and lockers, and it has 24-hour security. English and Thai are spoken at the property, and the laundry service and daily housekeeping are offered to guests while they are there.

Meetings and seminars can be held here, with a projector or LED display available for presentations and the shared lounge has sofas and a large flat-screen TV. The game room is one of the shared spaces, and lockers and luggage storage are available to guests.

Silom is one of the busiest districts of central Bangkok, a mix of office towers, street food stalls and night life along Silom Road in the Bang Rak district. Soi Si Lom 2 is a side street off that main road, and the evenings bring bars, food stalls and massage shops to the area around the hostel. It is a lively place to stay for travellers who want to be in the middle of the city.

The metro and skytrain are the simplest way to get around: Si Lom MRT station is 100 m away, Sala Daeng BTS station is 150 m, and the skytrain runs on the elevated line above Silom Road. The Grand Palace is 5.3 km away on the other side of the river, and the Patpong Night Market, a busy night market with street stalls, is 400 m from the hostel.

A good first day could combine the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha with Wat Arun across the river, then return to Silom for the evening. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 23.6 km away, and the metro and taxis are the practical links from the airport into the city. Back at the hostel, the shared lounge with its large flat-screen TV is a place to end the day with a film and some company from other travellers.
