ReRe Hostel

ReRe Hostel offers mixed and male dormitory rooms, shared dormitories with ten single beds, and a deluxe double room. The dormitories have bunk beds or single beds, and the rooms sleep between one and four guests, depending on the room you choose.

Several rooms have air conditioning, flat-screen TVs and coffee or tea makers, while the bathrooms in the dormitories are shared. Microwaves, workspaces, reading lights and linens appear in some of the rooms, so the facilities vary from room to room.

The front desk offers luggage storage and can arrange tours, and the hostel has 24-hour security. Private check-in and check-out are available, and there is an elevator.

Guests can eat at the restaurants on site, order food delivery, or go to the bar and nightclub. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and Wi-Fi also covers the public areas. The hostel also has themed rooms, smoking areas and non-smoking rooms, and the hostel has a nightclub and a bar for the evening.

ReRe Hostel is on Khao San Road, the best-known backpacker street in Bangkok's old city, where bars, street-food stalls and guesthouses stay busy late into the evening. The area is lively and close to the sights of Rattanakosin, the old royal quarter, so it suits visitors who want to be among the temples rather than in the new business districts.

The temples and museums around it are easy to reach. Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is 1000 m away, and the Grand Palace stands beside it, a royal complex of halls and temples. Wat Arun, the riverside temple with a tall prang on the west bank of the Chao Phraya, is 1.9 km away. Within a few hundred metres, the Bangkok National Museum is 650 m away, and it offers a quieter visit after the busier streets. The Sam Yot MRT station and the river piers are close by for trips further afield.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, then cross the river to Wat Arun. On weekends, Chatuchak Weekend Market, 7.2 km away, is the big one for crafts, clothes and food, and Jim Thompson House, 3.4 km away, is the teak house museum of the American who promoted Thai silk.
