RD Hotel

Every room at RD Hotel measures 30 m², and free Wi-Fi is available in all of them. The rooms are offered in double and twin layouts, and some of them have air conditioning.

One room has a city view and a private bathroom, and some rooms sleep up to five guests, which suits larger groups.

RD Hotel is in the Arunamarin area of the Bangkok Noi district, on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River, in a quarter of temples, canals and old shophouses. The pace here is quieter than in the tourist streets across the water, and the lanes near the Bangkok Noi Canal show a more residential side of Bangkok, with the Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital close by.

The Royal Barges National Museum is nearby, where the royal barges used in state ceremonies are displayed. Thonburi Station is 600 m away on the railway line, and Bang Khun Non MRT station is 1.1 km away. The Grand Palace, across the river in the old city, is 1.8 km away, and Wat Arun, the riverside temple with its tall prang, is 2.4 km away. Pra Pin Klao Park and the Bangkok Noi Floating Market are also close by.

A good day could begin at the Royal Barges National Museum, then take in the temples of the Thonburi side, such as Wat Dusidaram Worawihan, which is close by. In the afternoon, head for the Grand Palace in the old city, and Wat Arun is also worth a visit. In the evening, Khaosan Road, a little further on, is lively after dark. The area is best enjoyed at a relaxed pace, moving between the museum, the temples and the riverside piers.
