Ratana Boutique Hostel

The rooms at Ratana Boutique Hostel are dormitory rooms, and some are reserved for women only. Rooms can have air conditioning, blackout curtains, an in-room safe box, a locker and a seating area, and a shared bathroom with a shower is available to guests.

Beds are single beds, bunk beds and a futon, depending on the room. Two rooms measure 40 m²: a mixed dormitory with a futon and a street view, and a room with four bunk beds for up to four guests. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Ratana Boutique Hostel sits in the Khaosan area of Bangkok, on Nakhonsawan Road, in the Rattanakosin old town where the city's royal palaces and temples are concentrated. The streets around it are busy, with food stalls, guesthouses and small shops, and the Mahakan Fort park is a short stroll away.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, inside the Grand Palace complex, is 1.6 km away and the Grand Palace itself is 1.8 km away, while Wat Arun on the far bank of the Chao Phraya river is 2.4 km away. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street of the area, is 1.1 km away, and Sam Yot MRT Station is also 1.1 km from the hostel.

A good day here can start at Golden Mount, the hill temple of Wat Saket with views over the old city, then continue to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and cross the river to Wat Arun by ferry. Jim Thompson House, a museum set in traditional Thai teak houses, is worth a visit as well, and Wat Arun is a short ferry trip across the river from the Grand Palace area. The old city is best explored on foot between the temples, with the ferry crossing as a break from the walking.
