The Royal Thai Air Force Museum, with its collection of military aircraft, is a little farther away, and Sethasiri Backyard garden and O2 Park are also in the area. For the main sights of central Bangkok, the Grand Palace is 22.6 km away and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is 14.9 km away, so those are longer trips.

A relaxed day could start with the Royal Thai Air Force Museum and the temple at Wat Don Muang, staying close to the hostel. Alternatively, give a full day to the Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's best-known weekend markets, and combine it with the Grand Palace in the old city. Both the museum and the temple can be visited in a single morning.
