Pepa Guest House

The apartment includes a double room with a queen bed for up to two guests, air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. Its private bathroom has a shower, toiletries and towels, and there is a socket near the bed.

Satellite and cable channels come with the TV, and access to the room is by stairs.

Pepa Guest House is in the Sairee Beach area of Ko Tao, the island in the Gulf of Thailand best known for diving. Sairee is one of the island's best-known beaches, a long curve of sand lined with dive shops, cafés and small guesthouses. It is a lively base, with the sea and the island's dive schools close at hand.

Beyond the beach, the island's bays are easy to reach. Coconut Viewpoint, a hilltop lookout over the bays, is about 1.4 km away and gives wide views of the coastline. Ao Tanot Bay and Mango Bay are about 2.5 km away, and Ao Tanot is popular with snorkellers. Koh Nang Yuan, a small group of islets joined by sandbars, lies about 2.7 km away and is reached by boat. Shark Bay is a little farther along the coast.

Getting around the island starts from the apartment. The nearest airport is Samui Airport on Ko Samui, 66.3 km away, and the last part of the trip is always by boat, as Ko Tao has no bridge. Days here often mix a swim at Sairee with a boat trip to Koh Nang Yuan and a walk up to the viewpoint. Diving and snorkelling are the main reasons many people come, and the dive schools on the beach can arrange trips to the reefs.
