Papermoon

Every room at Papermoon has free Wi-Fi and a city view. Beds include a queen bed and two single beds, depending on the room, and some rooms have a private bathroom while others share one. Some rooms sleep two guests and others up to three, so guests can book a room for two or, in the rooms with that capacity, for three.

Rooms can have individual air conditioning, a desk, a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels, toiletries, towels and free bottled water. Some rooms also have blackout curtains or a hair dryer, and a safety or security feature is available in rooms.

The front desk is open 24 hours a day, and Papermoon offers express and private check-in and check-out. Luggage storage lets guests leave their bags while they explore Bangkok, and a laundry service is available. The public areas have air conditioning, and there is a terrace where guests can sit outside the rooms.

English and Thai are spoken at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and there is Wi-Fi in the public areas as well. Papermoon is on Samsen Soi 4 in the Khaosan area of Bangkok's old town, about 600 m from Khao San Road, the lively street known for its street-food stalls, bars and guesthouses. The lanes around the property mix backpacker bars and small shops with older shophouses, temples and a mosque, so the neighbourhood is easy to explore on foot.

The Grand Palace is 1.8 km away, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, stands within its grounds. Wat Arun is 2.5 km away on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya River, reached by a short ferry crossing. Along the riverside, Phra Sumen Fort and Santichaiprakan Park are nearby, and the river piers at Phra Arthit and Thewet are close by as well. Chao Phraya ferries link these piers with the temples on the far bank.

Getting around usually means walking, taking a taxi or using the river ferries. A day here can start at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, cross the river to Wat Arun and end with dinner on Khao San Road. Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip out of the centre, and Don Mueang International Airport is 20.1 km from the property.
