The skytrain is the simplest way to reach the Siam and Chidlom shopping areas from here. Jim Thompson House, a museum of Thai silk and art set in a compound of teak houses, is 950 m away, and MBK Center is 950 m away. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun are farther away, on the banks of the Chao Phraya river.

A good day could start with a visit to Jim Thompson House, then a walk through the MBK Center and the shops around Siam Paragon. For a longer trip, Chatuchak Weekend Market, 5.5 km away, is a large weekend market selling food, clothes and crafts.
