The rooms at Naraya Riverside Resort range from single rooms with a garden view to superior rooms with a pool view. Depending on the room, there is a bathtub or a shower, air conditioning, a refrigerator and, in some rooms, a balcony or terrace. Some rooms look over the garden, others over the pool, and one has a park view.

It makes a practical base before heading on to the islands or the national parks of the wider province, and Si Wichai Hospital is 600 m away for everyday needs.

Nearby, Diamond Market is 850 m from the resort, and Wat Phothawas, a Buddhist temple with a pagoda, is 2.1 km away. The Surat Thani Night Market, 2.4 km from the resort, is the place for evening food and everyday goods, while Koh Lamphu Public Park and the City Pillar Shrine are also in the town. For the islands, a ferry terminal for Koh Tao is 3.6 km away, and the new bus terminal of Surat Thani is also nearby.

A simple day out can start at Wat Phothawas and continue to the Surat Thani Night Market for the evening. For Koh Tao, the crossing starts at that terminal, so it is worth planning the transfer from the resort around the boat, and the park and the shrine can be added to the same walk through town.
