Muster House

Muster House has rooms from shared dormitory beds to 16 m² double and family rooms. Most rooms have air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and several have a street view. Bathrooms are shared in every room, and some rooms also have lockers or in-room safe boxes.

The 12 m² room with a double bed sleeps up to two guests. The 12 m² room with two single beds has a street view and also sleeps up to two. The 16 m² family room has two bunk beds and sleeps up to four guests, and the family room with a king bed and a bunk bed also sleeps four guests.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and Wi-Fi is also offered in the public areas. Free parking is on site, with more parking nearby, and the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day.

Muster House sits on Pathon road in the Tha Wa Su Kri area of Ayutthaya, a former capital of Siam north of Bangkok. The area mixes riverside streets, temple ruins and local markets, and much of the historic centre can be reached on foot or by bicycle. Ferry boats cross the river nearby, which adds a boat option to a day out.

Ayutthaya Train Station is 700 m away, and Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha head entwined in tree roots, is 1.1 km from the hostel. The Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is 1.8 km away, while Wat Pa Thon is right next door and Chao Phrom Market and the Chao Phraya River are close by. Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan, home to a large seated Buddha image, is also within walking distance.

A good first day starts at Wat Mahathat and continues through the historic city, where the ruins are spread over a wide area, so the bicycle rental is handy for the longer stretches. Several days are needed to see every ruin, but one day covers the main temples. For arrival, Don Mueang International Airport is 49.1 km away, and the hostel offers an airport transfer.
