Mind Day Hostel Khaosan offers dormitory beds and private doubles. The dormitories are mixed or female-only and use bunk beds, while the private doubles have a queen or king bed, or a queen bed with a sofa bed. Rooms can have air conditioning, a hair dryer, a shower and toiletries, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Many of the old city's main sights are within a few kilometres of the hostel.

Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, lies 1.3 km away, and the Grand Palace is 1.5 km away. Wat Arun, the temple whose tall prang rises above the Chao Phraya river, is 2.2 km away. Norrarat Market is just 100 m from the hostel, and the Sam Yot MRT station is also nearby. Jim Thompson House, the teak house museum, is 3.5 km away, and Siam Paragon, the large shopping centre, is further out and makes a good contrast to the temples.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, then cross the river to Wat Arun by ferry from one of the river piers. In the evening, Khao San Road is the place to eat and walk. For a different pace, Chatuchak Weekend Market is further out and makes a day of its own.
