MEEMAW'S House Hostel

Rooms at MEEMAW'S House Hostel include single and twin rooms, double rooms, rooms for up to four guests and a mixed dormitory with bunk beds. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and several rooms have air conditioning.

Some rooms have a city view, one has a balcony and a dining table, and the family room has a double bed and a bunk bed. The 30 m² room for up to four guests has a refrigerator and a microwave. Several rooms have a shared bathroom, and in those rooms towels, toiletries and a hair dryer are provided for guests in those rooms.

The shared facilities include a lounge and TV area, a shared kitchen, a snack bar and food delivery, and there is a designated smoking area alongside the non-smoking rooms. Internet access is offered in the public areas as well as in all the rooms.

MEEMAW'S House Hostel is on Soi Charoen Krung 81, a side street off Charoen Krung Road in the Bangkok Riverside area, and the Chao Phraya river is a short walk away. Several piers sit within a few hundred metres, and the river is the simplest way to reach the temples across the water. Smaller places such as the Bangkok Protestant Cemetery and Shrewsbury International School are on streets nearby.

Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex, is 700 m away, and Saphan Taksin BTS Station is 1.4 km from the hostel for Skytrain trips across the city. Wat Arun is 4.6 km away, and The Grand Palace is 5.1 km away, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha inside the same royal complex. Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large market with many stalls, is 11.1 km away.

A day could start with a riverboat from one of the nearby piers to the temples on the opposite bank, then continue to The Grand Palace by taxi. Those who want more shopping can take the Skytrain from Saphan Taksin BTS Station to the Siam area, where the big malls are. In the evening, Asiatique is a good place to finish, with the river in view.
