Marni BKK Hostel

Accommodation at Marni BKK Hostel runs from dormitory rooms with bunk beds to double and twin rooms, and several rooms have a city or street view. Across the whole hostel, rooms can have air conditioning, reading lights, hair dryers and toiletries, with shared bathrooms.

Dormitory rooms measure 26 m², and the double and twin rooms measure 10 m². One dormitory room sleeps up to eight guests in eight bunk beds, and a private dorm sleeps up to 17 guests. Guests can also book a double room for up to three people, and the double and twin rooms have air conditioning.

Marni BKK Hostel is on Visutthikasat Road in the Khaosan area of Banglamphu, one of the oldest districts of Bangkok. In the evenings, street-food stalls and guesthouses fill the streets around Khaosan Road, which is about 800 m from the hostel, and the area has a busy, backpacker feel.

The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, share the same complex, and Wat Phra Kaew is about 1.8 km away. Wat Arun, the riverside temple with a tall prang, is about 2.7 km away on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya river, and several river piers are nearby. For a larger outing, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is about 6.4 km away, with its many stalls spread across a large site.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace complex, cross the river to Wat Arun, and end back on Khaosan Road in the evening, when the street-food stalls are busiest. After a day at the temples, the stalls and guesthouses of Khaosan Road are close enough to return to the hostel for a rest first, since check-in starts at 14:00. Most of these sights lie within the old city, which is easy to explore in a single day.
