Mangkonlay Hostel Krabi

Mangkonlay Hostel Krabi offers mixed and shared dormitory rooms, a four-bedroom house, an entire rental house and family townhomes. The mixed dormitory rooms measure 22 m² and have single beds, and the entire rental house measures 25 m².

Several rooms have mountain views, and the four-bedroom house sleeps up to eleven guests. Some rooms come with a private entrance and a balcony or terrace. The bathroom is shared with other guests in several of them, and rooms can have air conditioning, fans, a refrigerator or a kettle, depending on the room. The four-bedroom house and the entire rental house both have a mountain view.

The area is a local neighbourhood rather than a resort strip, with town life close by before the beaches and islands. A hospital and an ATM are close to the hostel, so everyday needs are easy to cover.

The nearest sights include the Krabi Weekend Night Market, 4.2 km away, with local food and stalls, and Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside temple 6.2 km from the hostel that is reached by a long flight of steps. Ao Nang Beach, 9.1 km away, is a busy beach with boats running out to the islands, and Railay Beach, with its limestone cliffs, is reached by boat. Krabi International Airport is 10.8 km away and the hostel offers an airport transfer.

A day could start with the climb at Tiger Cave Temple and continue at Ao Nang in the afternoon, or with a boat trip to Poda Island, which has beaches and snorkelling spots. Guests who arrive by car can use the free parking on site, so a car is an easy way to reach the beaches and the market in the evening.
