Makkasan Inn

Makkasan Inn has rooms for up to three guests. Rooms can have air conditioning, a desk and a shower, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Some rooms have a city view.

The streets around it are full of street life, with street-food stalls and busy markets, and the area is well served by rail, with Makkasan Train Station in the immediate neighbourhood. The Airport Rail Link also runs from the city to Suvarnabhumi Airport, so a train ride to the airport is possible from the nearby stations. Rail is therefore a practical way to reach other parts of the city without a car, while taxis are available from the street.

Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 1.4 km away, and the Jim Thompson House, a museum in the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is close by. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is 5.2 km away, and the Grand Palace is 5.9 km away. Don Mueang is 18.9 km away and Suvarnabhumi is 23.2 km away, so airport transfers take a while.

A good day could begin at the Jim Thompson House and continue to the Siam shopping area, then head to the Chatuchak market on a weekend. Another day could take in the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, reached from the hotel by taxi.
