Lucky House Khaosan

Rooms at Lucky House Khaosan measure between 13 and 18 m² and sleep up to four guests, with queen beds or pairs of single beds. Some rooms have a city view, while others have no window, and several have a private bathroom with toiletries and towels.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the guesthouse offers air conditioning, daily housekeeping, luggage storage and a 24-hour front desk. Rooms can also have a desk, a refrigerator, a hair dryer and wake-up calls. Extra beds depend on the room, and baby cots are available on request. Lucky House Khaosan is on Chakrapongse Road in Phranakorn, the old part of Bangkok, where the royal palace and many of the city's oldest temples stand close together near the Chao Phraya river. The streets around the guesthouse are lined with small shops, tailors and guesthouses, and the area is best explored on foot.

Khaosan Road, 200 m away, is the street of bars, guesthouses and street-food stalls that gives the area its lively evening atmosphere. The Grand Palace is 1.1 km away, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) inside its walls, and Wat Phra Chetuphon, also known as Wat Pho, is nearby. Wat Arun, on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya, is 1.9 km away, and Phra Pin Klao Pier and other river piers are a short walk from the guesthouse. The Sam Yot MRT station is also in the area.

A good day starts at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which are visited together, before walking on to Wat Phra Chetuphon and taking a ferry across the river to Wat Arun. Chatuchak Weekend Market is a separate trip for a weekend morning, and in the evening Khaosan Road is the place to eat, drink and watch the street.
