LITA Bangkok

Air conditioning is in every room at LITA Bangkok, and the choice runs from a bunk in a mixed dormitory to single, twin, double and queen rooms and studios. Several rooms overlook the city, and some have a desk, a window and a closet.

Some rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, while the mixed dormitory uses a shared bathroom and shower. Some studios have a balcony or terrace, and blackout curtains and mosquito nets appear in several rooms. Free Wi-Fi is provided in all rooms, and every guest can use the shared lounge with its large flat-screen TV.

The shared lounge has a large flat-screen TV and comfortable sofas, and the gift and souvenir shop sells locally made handicrafts, clothing and accessories. There is also a terrace, a shared kitchen and a coffee shop, and luggage storage and lockers are available.

LITA Bangkok stands in the Ratchada area of Bangkok, on a side alley off Asok-Din Daeng Road. It is a busy district of shopping centres, office buildings and side streets, with a hospital, convenience stores and street-food stalls within a few hundred metres of the hostel. The metro is the main link to the rest of the city, and the Shoppes Grand Rama 9 and the Rink Ice Arena are also close by.

Phra Ram 9 MRT station is 150 m away, and the Airport Rail Link station at Makkasan is 750 m. Chatuchak Weekend Market, a huge weekend market with thousands of stalls, is 5 km away, and Jim Thompson House, a teak-house museum, is 4 km. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is 7.8 km away.

A good first day could start at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which sits inside the Grand Palace complex, and finish at Asiatique, a riverside shopping and night market on the Chao Phraya. Dindaeng 3 Park and the Reflexology Garden are close enough for a walk around the local streets, and the Asoke Skin Hospital is nearby if you need one. From the station, the metro runs through central Bangkok to the main shopping and sightseeing areas.
