Letter Better Home

The rooms at Letter Better Home vary in size and bed set-up, from a 25 m² quadruple room with a private bathroom and two bunk beds to a 35 m² room with two queen beds. Several rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and rooms can have air conditioning, a hair dryer, a microwave and a dining table.

Rooms can also have a desk, a closet, blackout curtains and slippers, and the property has a shared kitchen for guests who want to cook.

The front desk is open 24 hours, and the property has luggage storage, a laundromat and a convenience store. The public areas are air-conditioned. Both luggage storage and the laundromat are available to all guests on the property.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms, and WiFi is also available in the public areas. In the rooms that have them, you will find a hair dryer, toiletries and towels. Guests can use a shared kitchen, and pets are allowed.

The streets around it are lively in the evening, with street-food stalls and small shops, and the quarter is a practical starting point for seeing the city's palaces and temples on foot or by taxi. Many of the small guesthouses here are within a few streets of one another, so the area feels compact. Tuk-tuks and taxis are the usual way to cover the longer distances between the sights.

The Grand Palace is 2.8 km away, and Wat Arun, the riverside temple with its tall, tiered prang, is 3.4 km away. Further out, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is 5.7 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 26.5 km away. A small pagoda, Wat Samananam Borihan, stands next to the guesthouse, and the Saphan Khao Fruit Market is a short walk away.

A good first day can begin with the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, then continue to Khaosan Road in the evening. Early mornings are the quietest time at the temples, before the tour groups arrive. Chatuchak is a full day out, best saved for a weekend when the market is open.
