KS House

KS House has single rooms, twin and bunk bed rooms, a standard room with a window and a family room of 21 m². The family room sleeps up to four guests with a single bed, a double bed and a sofa bed, and it has a river view. The standard room, twin room, bunk bed room and single room all have a city view.

Several rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, and the twin, bunk bed and family rooms have air conditioning, blackout curtains and a refrigerator. Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and the public areas also have WiFi.

The front desk is open 24 hours, and the property has 24-hour security. Luggage storage and safety deposit boxes are available for guests' valuables, and daily housekeeping is provided. The shared lounge has a TV area, and air conditioning covers the public areas. There is also a rooftop area, and the rooms are reached along an exterior corridor.

Guests can order room service, and a snack bar and bottled water are also on site. Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and WiFi also works in the public areas. KS House is on Phra Sumen Road in the Khaosan area of Phra Nakhon, the historic old city of Bangkok, where narrow lanes, temples and guesthouses sit close together. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street, is 400 m away, and in the evenings the streets around it fill with street-food stalls. The old city is the easiest part of Bangkok to explore on foot, with its temples, palaces and riverside paths close to one another.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is 1.4 km away, and the Grand Palace is 1.6 km away. Wat Phra Chetuphon, known as Wat Pho, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn on the far bank of the Chao Phraya, are also within a few kilometres. The Phra Sumen Fort ferry terminal, 250 m from the guesthouse, crosses the river to Thonburi.

A full day could start at the Grand Palace and the temples, cross the river to Wat Arun, and end on Khaosan Road, where the food stalls are open in the evening. For a longer outing, Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.9 km away, is a well-known market with stalls selling clothes, crafts and food. Jim Thompson House, a museum of Thai silk and art, is also worth a visit.
