Komol Residence

Every room at Komol Residence has air conditioning, and all of them measure from 28 m² to 50 m². Views are either of the city or of the garden. Beds are double beds, two single beds, or a single and a double bed together, depending on the room. Garden-view rooms include a double room with a balcony or terrace and a 35 m² suite.

Rooms can have a refrigerator, a closet, a desk, a shower, toiletries and a balcony or terrace, and free bottled water is provided in several of them. Rooms sleep from two up to four guests, and the 50 m² suite sleeps up to four.

Komol Residence has a 24-hour front desk, a concierge, luggage storage, laundry service and daily housekeeping, along with an elevator and 24-hour security.

On site there is a restaurant with room service and a vending machine, plus a salon, shops and a garden. The in-house salon offers facials, massages, manicures and pedicures, and satellite and cable channels are available in the rooms.

The property also offers family rooms and free parking, and English and Thai are spoken on site. Elevator access, the 24-hour security and the daily housekeeping are part of the everyday running of the guesthouse, and the concierge, luggage storage and laundry service are offered alongside the front desk.

Komol Residence is on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya River, in the Bang Bamru area of Bangkok, with the historic old city on the opposite shore. The streets around it are a local, residential part of the city, with temples, markets and a state railway station within a short distance. For travellers who want to see the historic sights across the water while staying in a local neighbourhood, the location is practical.

Chang Chui Market is 350 m away, and Wat Phikun Nai, a pagoda-style temple, is 600 m away. Bang Bamru SRT Station is 900 m from the guesthouse, on the same side of the river.

A day can begin at Wat Arun, the temple on the Thonburi bank with its tall central prang, and continue to the Grand Palace, 4.5 km away on the opposite bank, where Wat Pho with its reclining Buddha stands close by. The National Museum of Royal Barges, 3 km away, displays the ornate royal barges used in ceremonies, and the river links the temples on both banks. Most of the best-known sights lie on the opposite bank, so the water is central to a day out from Komol Residence, and boats are the natural way to cross between them.
