Klongsaunplu Resort

The rooms at Klongsaunplu Resort include bungalows, twin and triple rooms and a standard room, with a balcony or terrace in some bungalows. Several rooms have air conditioning and a refrigerator, and one triple room has a garden view.

The area mixes residential streets with temples and riverside paths, so the resort is a short distance from the main historic sites.

Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan, a temple on the riverbank, is 750 m away, and Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha head set among tree roots, is 2.5 km away. The Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the ruins of the old capital, is 2.8 km away, and the Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village is 2.9 km away.

Most of the ruins are spread over a wide area, so it helps to plan a day around two or three sites rather than trying to see them all. A good route could start at Wat Mahathat and the Historic City, continue to the floating market and the elephant village, and end with a boat trip on the Chao Phraya River. Most of the sites are a taxi ride from the resort, and the riverside walk back to the hotel makes a relaxed end to the day.
