Kaya Place

Kaya Place has rooms with king beds, air conditioning and a desk, and rooms can have a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and towels. Sleeping arrangements run from rooms for two guests to a Double Deluxe Room for up to five.

The Superior Room measures 32 m² and the Standard Room 28 m², both with a king bed for two guests. The Deluxe Room covers 43 m² and can be booked with a choice of bed set-ups for up to four guests, and the Deluxe Room with King Bed - Non-Smoking has a single bed and a king bed for three guests.

Kaya Place stands in Bukkhalo, a district of South Thonburi on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, where the streets are residential and the temples are the main landmarks rather than shops and nightlife. It is a quieter side of Bangkok to stay on, for guests who want to be near the river without the crowds of the old city.

The nearest sight is Wat Bukkhalo, a pagoda about 500 m away. Siam Charoen Nakhon Pier, 600 m away, is the riverside stop for ferries across the Chao Phraya, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, rises above the water on the Thonburi bank 4.6 km from the hotel. The Grand Palace lies 5.3 km away across the river, so the crossing is the main step between the two sides of the city.

A day can start at Wat Arun and continue across the river to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, both in the old city. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street of Banglamphu, is in the same area for an evening walk, with bars, guesthouses and street food. Back on the Thonburi side, the pier is the easiest place to pick up a ferry for a short river trip.
