Kaset Guesthouse stands on a soi off Phaholyothin Road in Chatuchak, a district in northern Bangkok known for the Chatuchak Weekend Market and the Kasetsart University campus. The surrounding streets are mostly everyday neighbourhood streets, which keeps the stay closer to daily Bangkok life than to the central tourist districts. The Kasetsart University BTS Station, about 650 m away, is also nearby, so the skytrain is an easy option in both directions.

Sena Nikhom BTS Station is a short walk away, and the skytrain connects the guesthouse to central Bangkok. Within a few hundred metres are Amon Phan market, Bang Khen Market and the Saan Phurom temple. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is about 5 km away, while the Grand Palace, in the historic old city, is 13.2 km away, a longer journey across the city.

A good day here starts at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest weekend markets, and continues with a ride back on the BTS. For the historic sights, the Grand Palace and Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya riverbank are a longer trip across town, so they work better as a separate day. The Kasetsart University campus is also close by, and it is a quieter place for a walk away from the market crowds.
